Pastor Todd Chauncey Redden was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. He graduated from Bowling Green State University where he met his now wife of 30 plus years, Yolanda Moreno. He gave his life to the Jesus during a student bible study in April 1978. He later preached his first sermon at Prout Chapel on the BGSU campus. After college, Todd worked as a marketing representative for several companies, one of which relocated his young family to Syracuse, NY. He completed his pastoral studies through the Ministerial Internship Program with the Church of God and received his ministerial license and later, his ordination. Todd and Yolanda entered full time ministry in 1993 and founded New Beginnings Christian Center. They purchased our present building in 1996.
Todd’s love and compassion for people, especially the vulnerable, is quickly evident. Having been diagnosed with a chronic illness at age 4, he developed his ability have faith and to perserver. His life experiences and seeing the struggles of people he encountered, would mark his life and spark his compassion for the suffering of others. Todd is known for his giftedness in speaking, warm personality, teaching style and finding new ways of presenting the gospel with humor. He and Yolanda, have 3 children - Todd Jr., Joshua and Monica.
